13 Sep The Swedish Guy from Switzerland.

The other day I had –once more– a very sophisticated conversation with yet another chap who suffers from some sort of Idon’tknowanygeographitis, which seems to be a rather common condition in this country (sorry if this sounds harsh, but it’s actually true: http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2015/10/16/us-students-are-terrible-at-geography).

Anyways, it went something like this:

Stranger: “Hi, buddy!”
Me: “Hey, how’re you doing”
“Where you from?”
“I’m from Switzerland”
“Aah, Sweden, great country!”
“Well, I’m actually Swiss”
“Swiss?”
“Yes, as from Switzerland”
“Okay, gotcha! But you speak Swedish, right?”
“Nope, Swiss-German”
“But you’re from Sweden?”
“Nope, Switzerland”
“So what language do you speak?”
“Swiss-German”
“And what country are you from?”
“Switzerland”
“Ah, I see …”

Pretty sure, he actually didn’t.
