Tip #10: School is not the most important part

As an exchange student, studying in a different country is an experience. For me, the academic part of the semester was fun, experiencing different teaching methods, learning about new subjects, and seeing what American college life is all about.

Still: If you spend most of your time at school, you will be sad when you have to leave – sad because you’ve missed out on so many good things. In the last nine blog posts with tips here, I’ve mentioned so many great things about San Francisco and the U.S. Even though you want good grades, you don’t want to regret not doing so many fun and amazing things due to (at times) mundane tests.

Get good enough grades (for your standards), and spend the rest of your time enjoying the little time you have in an amazing, historical city.

I’ve met so many fun, amazing people, and I know I will have friendships for a lifetime after only 4,5 months in San Francisco.
