Twin Peaks and Haight-Ashbury

A couple of weeks ago me and my friends visited one of the most beautiful places I have visited in this city. First of all, we went visiting one of the most famous places in SF: Twin Peaks. It’s basically a lookout at the top of a mountain where you have an amazing view of the entire city. You have to walk for 20 minutes to get there, and it’s very windy up there, but it’s totally worth it. You can see all the little houses of San Francisco, the colorful flags of Castro and an amazing view of Market Street crossing through the city. I fell in love with it the minute I got there.

After that, we went to a very special district here in SF: Haight-Ashbury, or as me and my friends call it, the Hippie district. I really loved the area. It is full of cute stores, restaurants, and colors. I just love everything about it. First, we had lunch at an amazing Mexican restaurant named StreetTaco. The place was full of Mexican people, and when a restaurant from a certain country is full of native people, it’s probably a good one. And, damn, it was. I ate the best Quesadilla in town. You should definitely go check it out if you had the chance.

After that, we went through some stores in the district. We went to 3 vintage stores with plenty of fancy and amazing clothes (and buy a couple of things, you know). My favorite was one named Buffalo Exchange. We also went to the most outstanding and impressive music store I have ever been at: Amoeba Music. It was crazy. The place was huge and full of music content at literally every format: vinyl, CD, cassettes… The merchandise was also amazing and I feel it’s the perfect place to get presents for music lovers. But my favorite place in the district was a store named Love on Haight. It was at a store where everything had tie-dye design. I’m obsessed with rainbow colors and when I get there I almost cry. Well, not really, but you know what I mean. Everything was perfect. I could’ve literally bought every article in that store. But it was too expensive so I didn’t buy anything. Although I will probably buy something at some point.

So, that’s basically it. I just wanted to write about an amazing day that I had and give some recommendations for tourist destinations and cute places to visit. I hope it was useful at least!
