The final destination of my thanksgiving adventure was over the border in British Columbia, Vancouver. I have always wanted to visit Canada and I was not disappointed. The icy temperatures and gloomy weather warmed my Scottish heart. Whilst in Vancouver I visited Granville Island and walked around the city keen to absorb as much as I could. But the weather wasn’t quite cold enough, so we decided a trip to Whistler was in order. Admittedly having a snowball fight when the car broke down instead of immediately trying to fix it did come back to bite me in the form of a cruel cold. For anyone planning on visiting Canada The Cambie Hostel is a great place to stay if you’re on a budget. It’s cheap and cheerful and has a pub downstairs with great food.
