Vegas

To celebrate the end of finals a friend and I decided to head to Vegas. She’s never been, and we thought we might as well – especially given how plane tickets were only $30(!).

The flight was a breeze and our hotel was surprisingly wonderful so we got comfortable. I’d forgotten how much of an insane spectacle Vegas is – it’s so gaudy and eye-watering but it all works, somehow.

The clubs were also just like the architecture – inappropriately big. We got lost several times trying to find the bathrooms and it’s honestly a wonder how more people don’t get trapped in Vegas clubs. Also I could stay in a Vegas hotel for decades and I’d never get used to the insane inclusion of casinos downstairs. It gives you a migraine just going to your room.

However, the incredibly easy access to terrible food was a huge boon and went down very favorably around these parts.
