Thanksgiving Break on O’ahu

I always wanted to go to Hawaii, I mean who does’n?! The Thanksgiving break was the opportunity for me to make the dream come true. So my friend and me booked the flights, a hostel and flew to the island O’ahu. O’ahu is one of the most popular island on Hawaii, especially the beautiful Waikiki Beach, where we lived in the hostel.
O’ahu is mind-blowing and definitely worth is! It offers breathtaking hilly landscapes, gorgeous beaches, lots of sun, delicious food and much more. When we rented a car and drove through the island, we saw waterfalls and did unforgettable hikes up to the crater, where we enjoyed the view from above while watching the sunset. Other great thing about Hawaii is the food – I am sure everyone would love it! Everywhere you can find fresh seafood, Japanese cuisine, delicious, super-ripe fruits and vegetables like papaya, pineapple, coconut, avocados – fresh to buy from the local farm markets.
Our day on Hawaii usually started with surfing before breakfast, as you can rent a surfboard from $10 already. After the morning activity, we enjoyed the relaxing in the sun at the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Finally, we completed our day with a Tequila Sunrise at the beach, watching the sunset and enjoying the most peaceful time of the day.
What I mostly like about O’ahu is its diversity: Waikiki is a very progressive town, which is in the south of the island. When you drive through the middle, you see the tropical forest, waterfalls and small villages or huge pineapple plantations. When you drive along the coats from Waikiki up to the North Shore, you see the unique beaches, where the locals are surfing round the clock.
All in all – It is hard not to fall in love with Hawaii, that small paradise. I am looking forward to go back again and explore other Hawaiian islands!!

Thanks for reading, guys!
