13 Dec Favorite Spot #3: Land’s End
Having a boring day off and in need of some fresh air? Well, then you should definitely consider a hike from Land’s End to Baker Beach. This is a beautiful walk, which also gives you many nice views of the GG-bridge (assuming you’re such a sucker for that bridge as I am…).
You could start off at the Sutro Heights Park, which once belonged to the rich Adolph Sutro (SF mayor in the 1890s). The park has a lot of interesting features, such as the Sutro Baths and old sculptures.
From here you just hit the coastal trail along Land’s End. After a while you’ll arrive in the charming, posh Seacliff neighborhood, and from there you could walk straight down to Baker Beach. Enjoy!
Other favorite spots: Ocean Beach and Fort Funston.
